POW 2: Double Double

We stumbled on another book that is SUPER "MATHY"...so here's to Minnie's Diner:

As each brother (or papa) comes to the diner, they double the order of the previous brother.  If the first brother orders one of Minnie's specials (which includes, 1 soup, 1 salad, 1 sandwich with fries and for dessert 1 hot cherry pie), how many specials are ordered if 4 more brothers and a papa comes and orders at Minnie's diner?

POW1: Because I live near Hershey...

Recently my boys and I took a trip to the library and picked up this treasure by David M. Schwartz.  WE LOVE IT !!!  And it is a GREAT MATH BOOK!  So here is a fun problem you should try!  GOOD LUCK!!!

A Hershey's chocolate bar with almonds is roughly 12.5 centimeters long.  The almonds measure approximately 2 centimeters long.  Suppose you are eating a chocolate bar at night outside of a shopping mall that is 500 meters long.  You see a shooting star and naturally you make a wish..."I wish that my Hershey chocolate bar (with almonds of course) was the size of this shopping mall."  POOF!  Your chocolate bar is now 500 meters long...how long is each almond?
